Couldn’t get to sleep and woke up early. I feel like I’ve been in this sleep cycle for weeks now. I don’t feel super tired somehow thankfully. I feel like these diet changes are nonsense. I think it works for people with IBS or people with food allergies, but I don’t have those issues, so any benefit I’ve gotten has been coincidental. I’ll keep at it for a little bit just to make sure. Some changes take time. I got on the inversion table first thing this morning and put on some magnesium oil. That was an old routine that coincides with some better days. The inversion table has been the only thing that has ever offered me any kind of relief. It used to give me pain relief, but not anymore for some reason. The mag oil has a calming effect on back muscles. About as effective as Icy Hot. It’s all snake oil in the end and I’m not going to be dumb enough to believe it’s going to get me back on my feet. The only solution is actual medical intervention. I’m just trying to get through the days. That’s the biggest challenge for me.

Managed to shower by 11:15. That’s a record as of late. Ate leftover fried rice. It’s probably a good idea to always make extra dinner if I can so I can get easy leftovers. It’s so hard to eat at all sometimes when the pain is sky high, and it’s even harder to cook. If it’s already made, there’s a good chance I’ll actually eat it instead of going until 5pm without eating anything.

Short walk. The dreaded early afternoon walk that usually messes me up for the rest of the day. It wasn’t easy, but it’s not messing me up. Limped along for a while and decided to turn on my PC and played some games. It wasn’t easy, but my god do I need the distraction. It ends up hurting me in the long run since it flares up my spine pain. I had an ice pack on the whole time and that barely got me by.

Cooked a nice dinner with pork tenderloin, green beans, and sweet potatoes. None of the foods on the worry list. If it’s going to cause a reduction in the fibromyalgia, it should start now. I feel better from the magnesium oil, and that’s about it. I took a magnesium supplement after dinner. Did a short walk after dinner also. Much better than the earlier one. I’ll try for one more a little later.

Never got the last walk in. I got caught up watching the Giro d’Italia and played another hour of games. I feel less foggy tonight, but there sure is a lot of spine pain, so it can always go either way when there is still a lot of pain. I haven’t felt real pain relief in so long. That’s the only way forward for me.
