Decent sleep last night. I adjusted my mattress last night and it helped firm it up and that helped me get some sleep. There are so many nights where I get anxiety about going to sleep because I know there’s going to be so much pain just from sleeping. This should be a time when you recover and refresh, but for me it’s always a battle. I’m thinking of getting a floor futon mattress, but that’s just more snake oil.
Fibro flare has finally eased up a bit. I think that was 7 or 8 days straight of the same flare up. I feel better today, but I still can’t concentrate on anything. It’s not quite the fibro fog I usually have, but it’s still something foggy. I’m having trouble writing this because of it.
Things have improved in the afternoon. I feel calmer and a bit more relaxed. I can focus on things a bit better, but not great. Thinking of turning on my PC so I can play some games. I’m not going to push myself at all. I’m just going to enjoy not being at a 10/10 pain level.
Played some games this afternoon. Had a good dinner. I had an appetite and I ate well. That’s something that has been rare lately. Controlling the pain with ibuprofen and ice packs. Medications have been helping today. It amazes me that medication work so well when I don’t have a fibromyalgia flare up, but they don’t even scratch the pain during a flare up. I just don’t understand how this disease works. All treatments work well without flare ups, not just medications. So how do we treat someone during a flare up? How do we prevent them and lessen the length and severity of them? Why don’t any of these treatments touch the pain during a flare?
