Typical Lyrica sleep – Difficult to fall asleep, but then difficult to wake up. It makes me very groggy, but not until the morning. It can give extra sleep in the late morning, which is fine by me. I’ve been feeling groggy and unmotivated. At least I don’t feel fibromyalgia. That’s about all there is to today so far. I’m still not functional, but I don’t feel the fibro.

Late in the afternoon I was feeling very sleepy. I went horizontal. I figured it was a side effect of the Lyrica, although it has never really happened like this before. About 45 minutes after that I finally realized this is a bad flare up. It was the fibromyalgia that put me horizontal, not the Lyrica. I don’t know what caused this one. I felt better yesterday and this morning. I haven’t eaten anything all day, so it’s not diet related. I had some nerve pain last night, and I feel it again right now. I guess it’s just strong spine pain that is causing issues. I’m glad to have the Lyrica on board already. I think I would have noticed the flare up a lot earlier and right now it would feel a lot worse. I feel like I could force myself to do some sort of errand, whereas without the Lyrica, I would be cancelling everything for the next couple days. This is an interesting (and unfortunate) test to see what the Lyrica can do to treat a bad flare up.

Finally ate some rice at 7:00. I feel super tired and worn out. I got upright again when I ate, and I’m still going. I’m sure that without the Lyrica, I wouldn’t have eaten, and I wouldn’t be upright at all. And right as I type that out, I feel like I need to drop back on the couch. I have an ice pack on now, so I’ll let that do some work, then probably hit the couch. Between the fibro flare and the grogginess from the Lyrica, I’ll probably just hit my bed and put the TV on.

I actually feel a little better about an hour after the pm Lryica dose. I wonder if it’s better to take lower doses more times a day to even out the coverage. Hit the bed early. So tired. The Lyrica has it’s own unpleasant effects, and the fibromyalgia has its terrible effects, so the two together is very interesting. The Lyrica seems to push the fibromyalgia more out to the periphery, but with its own side effects that aren’t unpleasant. I remember getting used the Lyrica and those side effects went away, but so did its ability to push the fibromyalgia away.
