Woke up really early this morning with a bad headache. Headaches have been the red flag for me that a flare up is about to start. I took Tylenol 2 or 3 times through the night and woke up with just a mild headache that has since gone away. I had an errand to run, so I took care of that first thing in case I’m unable to later. I ate breakfast too while I still had an appetite. It’s almost noon now, and I’m still maintaining though, so that’s good.
I started the guaifenesin again 3 days ago. This time I’m doing 600mg twice a day instead of 300. I’ve actually tried 150 already and that led to problems. 300 was problematic. The thought now is that low doses can pull the bad stuff out of the cells, but not excrete it through the kidneys, so it just sits there fucking everything up. Now with the higher amount, it gets the kidneys to do their job better. This is all pseudo-science, so who knows. The facebook group for this protocol has a lot of brainrot. People say this protocol works if you follow it though, so I’m trying. Again. This is about my 10th try I think. Last time it took 5 days before things ramped up and turned horrifying, so I still have a couple days. I still expect things to get bad. I just don’t know how much. If the flare up is mild, then I can stick with it. If it’s horrifying, then I run from it. Lovely trying to live knowing you are hours away from horrifying levels of pain. Like waiting for a hurricane to hit or something and you can’t do anything about it.
Speaking of hurricanes, it’s blowing like 40mph winds out there right now. I went for a walk and holy fuck that was nasty. Really works the leg muscles. Straight home to an ice pack and ibuprofen after that. I have zero endurance unfortunately. I’ll still take this over summer heat any day.
